How to Change username in Google

Some time you may think to change your username, or do you need a new username because you got married or because of the personal matters.
That is why people may frequently ask question about “I want to change my google user name” or I want to change the name that people see on my messages and Google Chat
Google or Yahoo, MSN they don’t allow changing your username but you can change the name that's linked to your email address, but not the address itself.
Example to change your Appearing Name in Google
 Assignmetlanka - assignmentlanka@gmail.com
Assignment Lanka – assignementlanka@gmail.com
  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right, then select Settings.
  2. Click the Accounts and Import tab.
  3. In the “Send mail as:” section, locate the email address you'd like to edit.
  4. Click edit info next to the address.
  5. In the “Name:” section, specify what you’d like your name to be and click Save changes.
I want to add or remove dots from my username.
If you'd like to use a version of your username with fewer or more dots (.), you don't have to change a thing. If your username is 'my.address@gmail.com,' messages sent to 'myaddress@gmail.com' and 'm.y.a.d.d.r.e.s.s@gmail.com' are already delivered to your Inbox.
